Our Journey and Mission
Founded in the aftermath of World War II, Peoples Mobile Hospitals has been a beacon of hope for the underserved communities of Mumbai since 1945. Our mission is to provide free, accessible healthcare to those who need it most, regardless of their financial situation. With a fleet of mobile dispensaries, we have brought medical care directly to the doorsteps of thousands, ensuring that no one is left without the medical attention they deserve. Our commitment to serving the poor and needy remains unwavering as we continue to adapt and expand our services to meet the growing needs of our community.
For over 80 years, we have been dedicated to alleviating the healthcare burdens of the impoverished and afflicted. Our institution operates as a charitable, non-profit organization, driven by the goal of offering medical care without financial barriers. Despite challenges, including a significant labor strike in the 1980s, we have persevered, reopening our Day Care OPD and expanding our services. Today, our facilities include a popular Dialysis Department and the newly installed Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, both offered at minimal or no cost to deserving patients. Our legacy is one of resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to public health.
